Waqas Hussain is a performance consultant and facilitator at Funverks. With a strong passion to connect individuals with their inner-selves to embrace behaviors and personal development goals. Experienced in working as part of, and managing diverse teams in telecommunication and textile retail has helped him gain invaluable skills in the capacity building of frontline & middle managers.

At Funverks, his experience further expanded by engaging in upskilling of a large number of individuals from diverse industries. With over nine years of experience in various sectors including retail, utilities and customer services, he has worked with leading organizations in the domains of retail management, recruitment, account management, and sales.

His ability to gel in with people from all walks of life, and passion for peoples’ growth led him into the field of learning and development. His learning and development career started with training junior colleagues in the companies he worked for, eventually taking up jobs with fair scope of training.

His L&OD experience comes from his assignments for 3 Mobile (UK), Fauji Foods Limited (Pakistan), HUBCO (Pakistan), Somewhere Hospitality Group (UAE), TPL Holdings (Pakistan), Reckitt Benckiser (Pakistan), AkzoNobel (Pakistan), PharmEvo (Sri Lanka), British Council (Pakistan), Higher Education Commission Pakistan, USAID, Shan Foods (Pakistan), Silk Bank (Pakistan) and Coca-Cola Içecek (Pakistan). He gained his education from Pakistan & UK while his experience comes from working with reputable organizations in UK, UAE and Pakistan.

He firmly believes in giving back to the society and has been associated with Cancer Research UK, Marie Curie and Injaaz Pakistan. He always seeks opportunities to be associated with civic and social causes and lives by the mantra “treat others as you wish to be treated”.

A reader and aviation enthusiast, he likes to keep himself surrounded by books in free time. He also takes great interest in aviation based TV shows. He currently resides in Pakistan and frequently travels for work.
